Materials & Process
Inspiration often finds me in the most ordinary moments — riding a bus, walking through the park, watching light move across a face or a tree. Something shifts inside, and I feel the urge to create. My process begins with a feeling, not a finished idea. Sometimes I sketch with a pencil to find the shape of the emotion. Sometimes I begin straight on the canvas. I work mainly with acrylics and charcoal powder — materials that allow energy to flow freely. My movements are spontaneous, layered, often bold. I don’t try to control the painting too much. I let it become what it needs to be. Each work is a conversation between impulse and intention — a moment captured in colour and contrast. I never fully know how the painting will turn out — this uncertainty is part of the excitement for me. Every time I start, it’s like opening a new story, and I’m curious where it will lead.
