My name is Viktoriia Vansovych. I was born in 1985 in a small town near Kyiv, Ukraine. I graduated from Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design in 2008. Although my studies were not directly connected to fine arts, they shaped my sensitivity to aesthetics and form.
I began painting in moments of calm and inspiration, mainly using oils to depict flowers, nature, and animals, especially horses. For me, painting was a personal source of joy and peace.
In 2023, I moved to the United Kingdom. The ongoing war in Ukraine deeply affected me, bringing anxiety and uncertainty. Yet, the beauty of the UK and its warm, sincere people inspired me to rediscover my creativity and embrace a new, more expressive artistic style.
I am largely self-taught, developing my skills through exploration and intuition. This freedom allows me to create work that is authentic, spontaneous, and full of emotion.
Participating in exhibitions in the UK has broadened my view and encouraged me to keep pushing my boundaries. I dream of opening my own studio, sharing my work internationally, and inviting viewers to find their own stories within my paintings.
